Terms of service
In effect from 23 October 2026
These terms cover Pixelwright: the studio at studio.pixelwright.app, the address your AI connects to, and this website. Pixelwright is run by its founder, in Georgia (the country) ("we", "us"). By using Pixelwright you agree to these terms. Questions: support@pixelwright.app.
Your account
- The studio needs an account, free or paid. Projects you keep only in your browser stay on your device; saving to the cloud and connecting an AI use your account.
- One account per person. Keep your sign-in safe: you are responsible for what happens in your account, and you may not share it.
- You must be at least 16 years old to have an account.
Your work is yours
You own the art you make in Pixelwright, with or without an AI's help. You give us permission to store, process and show your projects only as needed to run Pixelwright for you: saving and syncing them, showing them in the studio, and passing them to the AIs you connect. We do not sell your work, show it to others, or use it to train AI models.
You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload or import, such as palettes, images and fonts.
Connected AIs
When you connect an AI app (such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor), it acts for you: it can read and change the projects in your account until you disconnect it in the studio (Settings → AI). The AI app is made and run by its own company under its own terms, which govern what it does with what it receives, including your prompts and art. AI output can be wrong; check it before you rely on it.
Fair use
Do not use Pixelwright to:
- make or share anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's rights;
- break, overload or probe the service, or get around plan limits or other accounts' privacy;
- resell access, share an account, or run unattended bulk generation for other people;
- copy the service itself.
"Unlimited" on a plan means fair use within these rules. Limits that exist only to stop abuse are never shown to you as a meter.
We may suspend accounts that do, and will tell you why when we can.
Paid plans
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
- Plans, prices and what each includes are on the pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel; we email you 7 days before a yearly renewal.
- You can cancel at any time; you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. Upgrades apply at once; downgrades at the end of the current period.
- If a payment fails, Paddle retries it for up to 30 days and you keep your plan meanwhile; after that the account moves to the free plan.
- If we change a price, existing subscriptions keep theirs; new prices apply to new subscriptions.
- Founding Pro keeps its yearly price for as long as the subscription keeps renewing. It ends if the subscription is cancelled and runs out, stays unpaid after Paddle's retries, or is switched to monthly.
- Student Pro is for students and teachers with a verified school email: the discounted price for the first 12 months, then the regular Pro price unless you cancel. It cannot be combined with other offers.
- Refunds follow our refund policy.
Trial and plan limits
- Every account can try Pro free for 14 days, once, without a card. It starts when you first connect an AI or press "Start Pro trial", and ends on its own: nothing is charged.
- Each plan's limits (such as the number of assets, AI sessions on the free plan, and the export formats) are on the pricing page and are applied by our servers.
- When a trial ends or a plan changes to a smaller one, nothing you made is deleted: assets beyond the plan's limit stay in your account read-only, and you choose which ones stay editable.
- You can always download all of your work, on every plan.
Changes and availability
We work to keep Pixelwright running and your projects safe, but we provide it as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or remove features; if a change takes away something you pay for, we tell you first.
Ending
You can stop using Pixelwright and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend an account that breaks these terms. Before deleting anything you made, we give you a chance to export it unless the law or a serious breach prevents that.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protections of the law where you live.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we update this page and the date at the top; for changes that matter, we also email account holders before they take effect.
